Windows Server 2019 Installation Freezes after loading installation files

Hello,

I'm trying to install Windows Server 2019 on a PowerEdge T40 server, and I have followed their support article for this process (https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000201434/install-windows-server-2016-2019-on-poweredge-t40-with-usb-drive).

I'm using a USB for this, and the BIOS is configured as shown in the article, but after selecting the USB for booting, the installation starts loading files, as soon as the progress bars ends the image changes to DELLEMC logo and the loading circle stops, it only shows 2 or 3 dots and then it stops, from there I have to turn off or restart the server, again with no luck on the next install atempt, and stoping in the same part just after loading the installation files.

What can i do to pass this part and finally install Windows Server?

Thank you.

  • Sounds like some hardware may have failed. You could try F12 at boot and run the diagnostics. May need to reach out to Dell tech for further assistance.
