Windows 2016 Server update taking forever

Hello,

I was trying to install Windows update on Windows Server 2016.
It is taking a very long time and did not manage to install.
I checked that the server already has KB4601392 installed.

 

From Google search, I found out that this patch in Feb 2021 could be causing the problem
I tried starting afresh by following the steps outlined in this link ->

However, this did not solve my problem.
I am now unable to update my server.
Please help me.

    Just to clarify:

    1) I downloaded the update package and tried to install. 

        I left the update running over the weekend and it still did not complete

    2) Not using WSUS

    I have a question back about your update options. Where do you trying to get an update from?
    .
    1 download from Microsoft.
    Or
    2 your infrastructure already available for WSUS services?
    .
    Maybe I’m mistaken as your mean. Sorry for the weakness of my English.
