Where is windows server 2019/2022 arm64?
I think the clean answer for education is to train on Linux for ARM Architecture. The demand for Linux trained professionals is exceptional right now.

This thread is hilarious. Im a MCSE 2003 certified Senior SysAdmin. I too saw the hints that Windows Server for ARM existed. But it doesnt, I agree Microsoft should definitely get on the ARM bandwagon for its server products but the way you went on about windows server arm64 was like your life will be over and they owe it to you to get server on arm64. we just got a decent windows workstation for arm64, and barely anyone except apple users running it in a vm. there are no powerful arm64 desktop pc's besides mac. why on earth would microsoft have already released server for arm? Again, i agree they should but the amount of people who would use it is minimal. your thousands of students .. bahhh. aint no 1000s of students using windows on arm . give me a break. what platform are you using? cuz it barely works on raspberry pi. the only platform it works on real good is mac's.
i agree, the future is arm. but intel is so big that you have yourself fooled that they arent in almost every pc an server out there. microsoft caters to their corporate enterprise customers first and forefmost. not students. and why the F would a student be using Windows server anyways? the main difference is that windows server has active directory and all that server jazz.. there's not much that you cant do with the desktop version except run a microsoft active directory envrionment. if u somehow have an ARM only environment well then there's azure that can provide all the domain features you need, plus it seems to be the direction that microsoft is heading in with active directory anyways. i'd love to know why server on arm is so important for you?
btw, have you heard of a little proggy called UTM ? its a graphical front end for QEMU. It allows you to emulate different processors. I needed to run windows 2008 R2 server on my macbook pro m1 for a few very specific reasons, and it made my macbook run real hot, and killed the battery very quick, but thats intel code for ya. other then thermal issues ,which seem to desribe the entire intel platform as a whole.. one big thermal and energy hogging messs, win2008 r2 ran flawless on my macbook pro m1. if u really need to run windows server for some reason consider runnning it in an emulated envrionemnt with UTM/QEMU instead of virtualized. i'll be excitede when microsoft does release server for arm. it's coming dont u worry. except when it does drop i'll load it up on my macbook pro m1 in vmware or parallels and once i finagle with setting it up and getting my nic and display drivers working correctly, i'll eventually get to the desktop and go to do ... wait... what am i going to do with windows server for arm? i dont want to run my domain controllers inside my macbook. running windows desktop on mac is the best experiecne for windows on arm.
the only situation where i see windows server for arm being useful is in a datacenter or lab environment where there are ampre based servers, and vmware stops being a bunch of sussy bakkas and actually drop an RTM version of ESXi for ARM. When vmware releases a real, supported RTM vesion of esxi for arm thats when you really need to pay attention to everything arm. Until vmware supports it, windows for arm isnt useful on the enterprise level, whcih is what matters. not academic level. microsoft pretends to care about education, and to a degree they do. but that has nothing to do with windows server.

Microsoft is the leader. So, on this subject, even if it still concerns few people and mainly students, precisely, Microsoft should act as a leader. It's totally part of the business. It is however simple. Yes, there is Azure and the specific training offer, but since WS arm exists then it seems legitimate to make it available. The absence of business towards students stabilizes and makes future business more efficient. Understand this and you will be even better. Education in the world represents a gigantic number of teachers and students. The M1 Arm is common in classrooms and interesting as a machine. I have nothing more to say to you than: Promoting development is the best thing to do. Still.

I just have nothing to do. I want to see it running on RaspberryPi
