Where is windows server 2019/2022 arm64?
As Mary said, there is no ARM64 of Windows Server. This is an internal artifact that can be ignored, sorry for the confusion.
However, as we look to the planning for the next version of Windows Server... if an ARM64 would be interesting, very open to the feedback. Please provide details into the scenarios and use cases specifically around Windows Server that make ARM64 interesting to you.
Thanks!

Hello.
A very much interesting, and useful case scenario for an arm64 deployment of Windows Server 2022+ would be as a virtual server on Mac silicon.
The reasoning is that the bridge provided by Parallels Desktop would give small groups a chance to offload creative work to the heavy hitter PCs, while giving machines like the Studio Pro, or even the Mac Mini a very respectable and stable hub to manage the whole operation.

Elden_Christensen ARM64 Windows Server would be extremely useful for IoT appliances. I know there's Windows IoT already but it doesn't support a lot of the things that would be useful from a full Server edition. Especially if it's marketed for home servers rather than business servers. Small home standalone providers for IIS, VPN hosts, DHCP, DNS, wireless access points, and etc.
As a 100% remote worker, my personal use case is a home VPN server so I can log into my home network securely while traveling. A full on WinTel server is overkill, but a Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, or Libre Renegade would be a perfect fit. I could also see myself spinning up a dedicated IIS server on similar hardware. - PierreR1935Aug 25, 2022Copper Contributor
Elden_Christensen , Windows Server arm 64 (iso) will be released in september 2022 ?
This is really important for a lot of people. We have been waiting for this since 2019. Please provide a solution.

Hi
Some knowledge base articles already refer to the ARM64 version of Windows Server.
Example:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/devtest/inf2cat
Windows Version: Windows Server 2022 Arm64 Edition
Version Identifier: ServerFE_ARM64
Windows Version: Windows Server 2016 on Arm
Version Identifier: Server10_ARM64
I also found the Windows Server 2016 ARM64 ISO on the internet, it's however just a technical preview.
https://archive.org/details/10586.1000.151112-1500.-th-2-srv-1-nano-dev-2-server-multi-arm-64-fre-en-us
Is there any chance getting the ISO for Windows Server 2022 Arm64 Edition? Thank you.I would like to run this on a Raspberry Pi to give my trainees / students the chance to play around with it.

Microsoft
These scraps you guys are finding are pretty comical 🙂 But there is no and never will be an ARM64 of any version of Windows Server that is already shipped (like we would ship a new architecture on WS2016 at this point LoL). We do appreciate the feedback / demand / scenarios... the previews of the next Windows Server are being published to the Windows Server Insiders, not much there quite yet (new Shell is on server!)... but stay tuned that's where you will find all new features.
Thanks!

Hello Elden, thanks for your previous reply.
My expectation of Windows Server for AMR64 is related to the field of education. The learning of students in the fields of developers, computer systems and networks and those of cybersecurity, is organized by state campuses or by private companies. All its actors need to own a personal machine with a high CPU hardware power such as a GPU, in order to be able to emulate several virtual machines requiring a lot of power and also to reduce the processing time of the algorithms. ARM64 meets this need and ensures that you do not encounter hardware limits during learning. ARM64 is THE hardware solution for this field of activity.
In detail for the material aspect. For two years, thousands of students and professors have been using ARM64 chip machines, because these machines fully correspond to their needs. Given the hardware power provided by chips running in ARM64, students and professionals in digital technologies have bought, are buying and will buy machines running on ARM64. Understand Elden, that the absence of Windows Server ARM64 prevents this large number of professionals and future professionals in the IT sector from using Windows Server on their powerful machines for private use.
In detail on the software aspect, for example of a single Windows Server role: Using Azure Active Directory will one day arrive in all computer science classes, but it will take many years to get there due to the lack of Azure student offer offered to schools and students. On the scale of all the countries of the world, this 100% cloud usage period is still extending. So learning with Windows Server installed on the machines locally is essential. The major problem is that today, all teachers and students who have machines running on ARM64 cannot use Windows Server.
Microsoft is the leading company in the global IT ecosystem. This is very beautiful and we must all congratulate you for it. Teaching and learning about a locally installed Windows Server solution on ARM64 is an opportunity for Microsoft because it could be a great educational project.
By releasing Windows Server ARM64 for a mainly educational reason, the effort provided by Microsoft will be recognized in the media. Very seriously (but a little dreamy), in an ideal business world where fraternity still exists between two companies of the same nation, Apple could participate in financing the Windows Server ARM64 promotional campaign because the promotion of the sales of the machines Apple is also directly concerned.
ThanksElden for allowing me to express myself !
Good day to everyone

Hi PierreR1935
I totally agree with you.
I am a professor at a Brazilian University and we have the same problems.
Professors and students are using machines with ARM processors and we would like to virtualize Windows Server in our desktops for learning and we can't.
We have only Linux distributions with ARM support.
