Upgrading ADDC and keeping same name and IP

I have 2 Server 2012 R2 Domain Controllers I would like to upgrade to Server 2022. I want to keep the same name and IP once upgraded.

Here is the process I'm looking to follow:

1) Build new servers on Windows 2022 and join to domain
2) Migrate FSMO roles from first DC to be upgraded if needed
3) Demote the first DC
4) Once the old DC is demoted, rename it to avoid any conflicts
5) Rename one of new windows 2022 servers with the old DC name
6) Shutdown old demoted DC
7) Change IP on the new server to that of old DC
😎 Promote new server to a DC
9) Allow time for AD to sync then rinse and repeat these steps for second server

Does this process make sense? Has anyone else followed a similar path with success?
