Evaluation Software (Any) (In particular Windows Server 2022)

Is there an ISO-build that  is specifically for evaluation that can be installed on just a Desktop Client Machine?

I do not have the resources to use a full server setup to evaluate.

I understand that I would not have access to the modernest futures, but basically I could evaluate the most common usages.

  • Install the Server 2022 evaluation into a Hyper-V virtual machine. It will work, but beware of a performance problem. Windows Servers give priority to background tasks, but Windows Desktop gives priority to foreground apps.

Sorry, but there's no such thing. If it's a newer desktop it may just work OOB but be sure to install the pc manufacturer chipset. The chipset allows the operating system to find and use devices integrated into the mother board. Other options may be to install it as a virtual machine on hyper-v, vmware workstation, virtualbox, etc.

        Sure.
Need to have a little patience with this one as I do this on the side as extra.

      Thanks.
What is it with my brain nowadays. It is not as I was younger.
When I do this can I still use 'normal' clients to connect to the Hyper-V Evaluation Server? I feel it best as when I can use real (dis)-connectivity. Or am I then bound to have all and everything in the Hyper-V environment to test whatever?
A reply is not necessary, welcome though. As I am going to go forward on this advice and will notice.
