To be honest I never really looked before. Might take a look here
The full "Staging path" is;
C:\Windows\SYSVOL\staging areas\xxx.local.com
Something here could also help.

I have no idea if I should worry about it or just relax 😕- Alban1998Jan 02, 2024Iron ContributorIf it ain't broken, don't fix it. You are bound to have some strange bugs/behavior when migrating decades old components (DFSR-based replication for AD exists since 2008).
If repadmin/ADReplStatus/event logs/gpmc don't report issues, if you don't detect any incident regarding replication, then there's no need to worry.- Rimvydas-LTJan 03, 2024Brass Contributor
Hi,
Problem is that at least I want to know - is it a bug or is it expected thing. Docs say nothing about that. And I'm nostly unhappy to see that staging is CONFIGURED when new domain installed from scratch or on newly introduced DCs, but when migration is done - its not on the old DCs:/ I fixed this by installing new DCs where staging was configured and by demoting old ones. But still, I want to see few rows in docs regarding this as I can reproduce this thing every time I do this thing.
