Access denied changing primary dns

Hi,

I am trying to add a machine to the domain and I get asked for credentials to change the DNS name of the machine. once I do this I get an access denied error changing the primary dns of this machine to "" failed, access denied . Machine still joins the domain but group policies dont seem to work.

I cant seem to find anything on how to fix this error.
