App Key based authentication for SharePoint Online

Hello Everyone,

As we use the User ID and Password in PowerShell scripts for authentication - It is vulnerable. So, Can we use the App Key and register in Azure AD & use this App Key in scripts to perform the multiple CRUD operations across the tenant.
