Windows 11 Pro won't activate, shows Home edition digital license
My Windows 11 Pro can't activate. Troubleshooting says the device only has a Home edition digital license. I tried reinstalling as per the official guide but it still doesn't work. Need help.

This is almost certainly an "Edition Mismatch" error . Your laptop's motherboard has a digital license (or product key) permanently embedded in its UEFI firmware. During a clean installation, the Windows installer reads this key from the BIOS and automatically installs the matching edition (Home), completely bypassing the screen where you would normally choose a version or enter a key .
Hi,
What is your current edition?
If it is Home, you can use generic key to switch to Pro.
If it is Pro, what is the error code you're getting?
