Windows Server OS for developers
I need to setup windows server to test AD authentication. Is there a Windows Server version for developers that is free or very low cost?

- The foundation edition that comes with a lot of OEM servers also helps with this; licensing is builtin. Only available though through OEM channels, but works for the small cute test boxes hanging around a developer's lab.

myalo While we don't have a version/edition dedicated to Developers, if you have MSDN/Visual Studio Subscription, you have Windows Server available as a member download. Another option is to use the an Azure free trial account: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/
