Member cannot create new private-channel in teams
Although MS365 administration center and Teams settings about "member add private channel" is permitted, the members cannot create new private channel in teams.

Hi, my name is Ankido, and I’ll do my best to help you!
There could be several reasons for this problem:
- Team-specific settings: The administrator may have enabled private channels at the organizational level but not specifically for the affected Team.
- Role restrictions: The member trying to create a private channel might lack the necessary permissions, even though the overall settings allow it.
- Synchronization issues: The settings might need time to apply, or there could be a technical issue with synchronization between Microsoft 365 and Teams.
- License or feature availability: The user might not have the right Teams license or could be restricted by their subscription plan.
Solution:
- Verify that private channels are enabled in both the Teams policies and for the specific Team.
- Ensure the member is not a guest, as guests cannot create private channels.
- Ask the user to log out and log back into the Teams app to refresh the settings.
I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. All the best!
