To-Do list not syncing to Apple Reminders
I've confirmed that I can NOT get this to work (exact same issue as noted in the original comment here...) on either my MacBook Pro or my Mac Studio desktop. Both are running most current version of Sonoma (no updates available).
And like the original comment... it works fine on my iPhone, but just shows "Exchange" in the reminders app but none of my lists or todo items are present.
Update.... not exactly sure what I did to get it to work but here is WHAT I did...
1) Deleted my Exchange account under Internet accounts in Mac OS.
2) Removed the MS To Do desktop app from Mac OS (note: I suspect this is what fixed it by itself*).
3) Re-added my Exchange account under Internet accounts (reversed step 1).
All my MS To Do lists THEN appeared and work as expected in the Mac OS Reminders app.
*I suspect what might be happening is a bug for access to the reminders when you have both the reminders app configured to access the To Do items AND have the MS To Do desktop app.
You might just try uninstalling the MS To Do app on Mac OS to see if this fixes it for you.
- Steve_ProwseApr 25, 2024Copper ContributorThis (removal of desktop To Do app, removal and re-add of Microsoft account, plus a restart) just worked for me on Sonoma: If you need a desktop application, I'd suggest using To Do as a PWA (browser) app, rather than the desktop app. MS To Do tasks are now syncing to Reminders. NB: Reminders -> To Do worked, it's entering To Do tasks and requiring those to sync back to the Reminders app that was the issue for myself.

This works for all Sonoma Users. At first I tried the exact steps and it didn't work initially, but ifyou have to give it a minute then it registers. If you find this forum anyone who has the issue thank DWhitney420 for the solution.
