Because I did not find a solution in Stream, I recorded the videos "normally". Afterwards I downloaded and uploaded them to the stream platform.
Stream is the worst and Microsoft's lack of useful help is even worse. I've tried everything to try to make a video shot portrait-style to load to SharePoint without converting to landscape style. I even exported it to iMovie and cropped it but the minute I loaded it back into Stream the video became very small with annoying black bars on both sides of the video. Help!!
