Teams Live event transcription upload

I'm hoping someone can help with this issue.  When uploading a video from Teams Live Event, I upload the vtt file and uncheck auto generate for stream's built in transcription.  But, the minute I uncheck autogenerate, even with my vtt file uploaded, Stream takes away the ability to see a transcription with the video.  Any ideas?  thanks!

    Shuchi Nalepa - are you uploading the VTT files as captions or subtitles? If doing so as subtitles, try uploading as captions and see if you get a different result.
