Streams classic embed links
What happens to embedded Stream Classic links in online documents ie in Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ PDFs. After migration of videos to Stream on SharePoint, what will happen to these links? How will th...
Based on what the Stream product team has communicated, these links should continue to work following migration - BUT only until redirects stop February 15, 2025. If someone clicks on a link that is going to a video file in Stream Classic and the file has been migrated using the migration tool, a redirect will be in place. So . . . you still need to update those files and put the new link in them before 2025 when the redirects stop.

When I click on the link I get an error message - microsoft classic stream has been disabled by your organisation. Do I need to follow up with my IT department? thanks- Yes. You definitely need to check with IT. It sounds like they have completed the migration of videos and expect you to be working only with storing your videos in SharePoint.
