sqlserver developer edition

I searched this site and found someone already asked this question but there was no reply.  I noticed there is a free developer edition.  Of course anything free makes me wonder.  Can I assume it is a fully operational and functional version?

    Hi nmah01 -- Yes, Developer Edition is a free, fully-functional version of SQL Server with the same capabilities as the Enterprise Edition SQL Server.  Developer Edition is licensed only for development and test system purposes.  Thanks.
