SQL 2022 mds issue
Hi, This looks very similar to a known issue affecting Master Data Services in recent SQL Server 2022 cumulative updates. Microsoft has officially acknowledged in the CU27 release notes (KB5104824) that certain MDS operations, including creating attributes, creating entities, and loading hierarchies in Explorer, may fail or not load correctly.
Could you check which SQL Server 2022 build you're currently running? Please execute
SELECT @@VERSIONIf you're running CU26 or CU27, you may be experiencing this known issue.
Microsoft is investigating a fix. There is also a related Microsoft Q&A thread reporting that CU26 breaks the MDS web application while leaving the database intact. This would explain why restoring a working MDS database didn't help.

I would recommend checking the installed build and opening a Microsoft support case before attempting any rollback or manual replacement of MDS application files.
