SQL 2022 hyperv with S2D in cluster drive setup
Senario: Win 2022 in failover cluster with S2D with NVME drives. So was wondering what is the best way to setup the drives on a SQL VM to get as fast as possible solution? The old way splitting Log/data/temp e.g between different drives?
Or should I add a second SCSI and put the logs there and the rest on different drives on the first SCSI(See attached file)? Or just add 1 drive as D drive and put everything in there.
It will be a heavy write and read intensive DB.
Hello Ed9tho69
I'll suggest referring to this link. this is targeted to Azure VMs but it could apply. I do use Shared Storage FCI using Azure VMs
