SQL 2019 upgraded to 2022 but still showing 2019

It wasn't a new instance installation, Windows Service Manager would show the instance.
Again, run the discovery report for details.

AdrianColes , by the Discovery Report you have 2 SQL Server instances runing
Default (unnamed) instance = Version 2019
Named Instance "Inactive" = Version 2022
So you did't run an upgrade of the existing instance, you installed a new one.
