Ora connection from VS 2015
I am not able to connect to ora source using the Attunity, I see "OracleSource" after installing the AttunitySSISOraAdaptersSetupX64, I have oracle client also installed, but I always get err
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
Questions:
Do we need oracle client installed to connect to Oracle server? Can Attunity be sufficient to install for connection, if we install Attunity do we get the tnsnames.ora file, if not then we need oracle client which comes with tnsnames.ora file where we can edit and provide the server details. I am using VS 2015
What is the use of Attunity to connect oracle or speed up process? If connect to oracle then can I uninstall Oracle client? If yes what about tnsnames.ora without oracle client
I also added the environment variable details, still no luck
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services Designer Version 14.0.1016.232
- Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools 14.061712.050
- I have oracle 19c as source
- Oracle client ODAC121010_x64 (12c)
- 2016 SQL Server
- AttunitySSISOraAdaptersSetupX64
Trying to connect to Oracle using above is not working, I would like to uninstall oracle client if not needed, if in case Attunity itself is sufficient.
