MSOLEDBSQL Provider Link Server Issues

I'm trying to create a link server with the new MSOLEDBSQL provider, to make use of the MULTISUBNETFAILOVER options, but all attempts to create one regardless of SQL Version results in "Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) has stopped this transaction." errors.  Are there any fixes for this?
