encryption server certificates

Hi Expert,

I have encrypted the connection from the application side and wants to encrypted the from sql server database also . i am referring to the following link but unable to understand to enable the encrypted connection in sql server database

Encryption is done in ASP.net codes.

Do i have to install separate server certificate for the same. Any link appreciated
