Contained databases and Replication

All documentation says that contained databases don’t support replication, change data capture and change tracking, but it does not say why. Does anyone know the technical reason?

For us the benefits we get with sql user isolation, availability groups and collation independency to the SQL instance are so big we don’t really want to go back from contained mode.

What replication method is recommended for Contained databases?
