Azure SQL Database - issue with CAST from EF

Following MS update to SQ Server last week we now find that CAST is not working as expected on one of our databases.  Has anyone seen similar.  We are looking at options to potentially remove the CAST requirement.

    That's to less on informations. EF = Entity Framework? What in detail do you mean with "not as expected"? Do you have an example for a repro?
