Access denied when renaming SQL Server MS 2012 cluster

I hope this is the correct group. While attempting to rename SQL server role on  2012 Cluster, I get the message and error has occurred: 0x80070005 Access is denied. The current name is "E1PROS" and I am attempting to rename to "E1PRODDR".  There is no object for E1PRODDR in AD. Just to make sure it was communicating correctly I created one manually and received the error "E1PRODDR already exists. Not sure where to go next.
