Sharing Files between VM and Host

Hi,

Please can I get help with overcoming a file sharing barrier between a VM and the host laptop? Installed a VM using virtual box and needed to install SQL server 2016. Tried picking up the downloaded and stored SQL Server iso file from the host via shared resources with the VM. The VM could not identify the folder from the host. Would appreciate some ideas if anyone has experienced this problem before now.
