Skype for Business Server 2015 and SQL Server 2016

Is or when is SQL Server 2016 supported as a Back end databases for Skype for Business Server 2015?   On the Technet (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn951388.aspx#DBs) only SQL 2008 R2...

It would be nice if Microsoft would bless the use of SQL Server 2016 with Skype for Business 2015. No reason to use a 3 year old product and with SQL Server 2017 just around the corner, SQL Server 2014 seems odd to install today.

Totally agree, also technet isn't updated about SFB2016 and Windows Server 2016 yet.

    May update supports now Windows Server 2016.

    Fully agree - working as Solution Architect for a big danish company where we right now are setting up Skype for Business and would prefer to use SQL 2016. As long as we got no official statement regarding usage of SQL 2016 with Skype for Business we are forced to install SQL 2014 :-(
