I am frustrated with the inabililty to show a video or show your screen in Skype Meeting Broadcast. Need these two things to compete with the other solutions.

We do this today in our SFB Video broadcasts (archive here: http://aka.ms/sfbcastpast ; fresh one coming at 9am PST at http://aka.ms/sfbcast) by using a small HDMI->USB capture device.  The specific one we have is a Magewell - smaller than a deck of cards and so far works flawlessly.  It will injest the screen of a workstation and then turn it into a USB video feed that Skype Meeting Broadcast treats just like a camera.

    I have also tested ManyCam, it's also a viable solution.  I was just under the impression that the OP wanted a video stream as well as a screen share.

    Cool! That Magewell device is less than $400 Canadian! If it's good enough for your SFB broadcasts, it's good enough for us!
