SfB Online - Chat Rooms
Dear all, Please can anyone shed any light if chatrooms are being considered for Skype for Business Online/Office 365. If not do people use Yammer for persistant chats or even Groups? Cheers....
I can't answer on behalf of Microsoft, but when asked previously for customers I've heard there are no plans for SfB Persistent Chat in Office 365
Yammer and Groups aren't really the same thing, but they seem to be the direction MSFT are pushing for "async group collaboration", groups with the web chat view are closest to a text-based chat in Office 365.
I really like Yammer, but it's not the same use case as Pchat/slack/IRC style chat
