Question in Skype Room System v2

The downside of not having Exchange integration is you don't get click to call to join a meeting which is a major beneficial feature of SRS …. but as Jeff says this does work without Exchange as you can do point to point calls by simply starting a meeting and finding the remote user.
I have tried SRS without Exchange previously and it doesn't generate any user visible error messages saying 'no Exchange' so it is user friendly :)
