Sign issues after migration

Hi folks, Need your suggestions here. Lots of users have been migrated from skype on prem to Skype online. Now they are getting this error while sign-in over Skype client 2016
"The user account doesn't exist in the directory. To sign into this application. The account must be added to the directory". Pls suggest.
