Migration from Skype for Business 2013 to Office 365

I am trying to move a group from Skype for Business 2013 Standard Edition (1 server) to Office 365 in the most painless way possible.  We do not have an Edge Server for federation, and I cannot find any information on whether one is required or whether its even possible to federate with Standard Edition.  Is it possible to do so?

    Hi,

     

    Is it a group of users you are going to move? To move a user from Skype for Business 2015 or Lync Server 2013 you have to setup a hybrid first and that involved a Edge server.
