How to join a meeting on Skype for Business for mac

Hi! I recently downloaded Skyke for Business for mac, when I tried to join a meeting using a link invitation sent to me, it opened the app on my mac but denied access saying I don´t have the latest update.

Is it possible if I just downloaded it for the first time? Shouldn´t it be the most recent version?

Please help! I´m missing out on those important meetings from work.
