SfB Mac not updating busy status for calendar events
- Nov 13, 2016Hi David, I've been in contact with the SfB Beta Technical Support team regarding this since mid October. They are currently actively working to resolve this issue. My most recent communication was on the 5th of November. My install is Outlook 15.29 (161108) and SfB 16.1.388 (which was only installed today), so still waiting on a fix.
SFB Mac does not yet support auto updating the SFB status based on the user's Outlook calendar, e.g. in meeting. It is in our backlog. We are aware that this is a frequent request. I can't comment on when this feature will be added.

I had to resort to running a Windows VM in Fusion running Skype for Business and Outlook just to keep my Mac version updated with my correct status. Overkill, i agree, but it is the only way my status can be changed to "In a Meeting" rather than manually setting to "Busy"
Thought this would've been one of the first items on deploying SfB on the Mac.
Perhaps should have stuck with Lync for a little while longer.
(running SfB 16.3.241 & Outlook 15.31)

hi chris, my setup on Windows is SfB 2016 and Outlook 2016, if that helps.
The Mac version picks up the auto status change from Windows and status is "In a Meeting".
I previously used Lync for Mac and that integrated correctly with Outlook for Mac without my overkill interim solution till MS implement the updates.
