SfB Mac not updating busy status for calendar events
- Nov 13, 2016Hi David, I've been in contact with the SfB Beta Technical Support team regarding this since mid October. They are currently actively working to resolve this issue. My most recent communication was on the 5th of November. My install is Outlook 15.29 (161108) and SfB 16.1.388 (which was only installed today), so still waiting on a fix.
We heard your feedbacks. This is part of the backlog. Will update when there is an ETA.
Can you please provide an update on this issue?
This issue has been reported at least a year ago - based on the thread. I am using SfB 16.10.97.

I know that everyone has been waiting a long time for this feature. Updating your presence based on calendar states is work that is scheduled for Q1 of 2018. It is a client-only change, so no server update is needed.

Ok so it is WELL past Q1 of 2018 now. Why is this feature still not working? Could someone provide a status update or an explanation of how to fix this, please?

This feature shipped in app version 16.13, released on December 7, 2017. Please be sure that your app version is 16.13 or later. The requirements for the feature are:
- Enable Update my status based on my calendar information in General page of the Preferences dialog box
- Skype for Business app is able to connect to Exchange. (If you are seeing meetings listed in the Meetings tab, this should be working.)
- You have meetings in your calendar that have multiple attendees and where the availability is set to 'Busy'.
This feature is working for me and for others to whom I've spoken. If you aren't seeing your presence change appropriately, you can send feedback from an Office Insiders build using Help/Report an Issue or speak with your organization's helpdesk.
Phil.
