Looking for official role-based AI learning paths and Microsoft AI ecosystem diagram

Hello everyone,

 

I am responsible for AI up-skilling at my company, and we are currently building role-based learning paths for roles such as AI Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, and Data Scientist.

I would really appreciate any advice or pointers to official Microsoft resources on the following topics.

 

Q1. Role-based learning paths

I am aware of the Microsoft Learn career paths:

However, I am looking for the most up-to-date official learning paths or curated guidance that also cover newer services such as:

Copilot

GitHub Copilot

Microsoft Fabric

Azure AI Foundry

Are there any Microsoft resources that organize recommended learning content by role for these newer areas?



Q2. Official Microsoft AI ecosystem diagram

I am also looking for an official Microsoft diagram, map, or architecture overview that shows the overall AI ecosystem, including services such as Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure AI Foundry.

 

As a reference, I am aware of unofficial resource, although it appears to be somewhat outdated:

 

If anyone knows of an official and more recent resource, I would be very grateful.

    Hi,

    For Q1 (Role-based learning paths), the most current official starting points I've found are:

    • Microsoft Learn's AI Engineer path: covers Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, and Copilot extensibility

    • The Fabric Analytics Engineer path: good entry point for Data Engineers moving into Fabric

    • GitHub Copilot has its own dedicated learning path on MS Learn now, under "GitHub Foundations" and beyond

    • For Azure AI Foundry specifically, the AI-103 learning path touch it, though its relatively new as of April 2026

    For a role-mapped overview, the Microsoft AI Skills Navigator (aka the AI Skills Fest resources) is worth bookmarking. It organizes content by role and skill level and has been updated more recently than the older career path pages.

     

    For Q2 (Ecosystem diagram), I haven't found a single official Microsoft diagram that maps everything cleanly. The closest I've come across is the Azure AI Services overview diagram in the Azure documentation, and the Fabric platform architecture page. 

    If anyone has found a more consolidated official map, I'd love to know too, it would be genuinely useful for the training programs I run.
