Still Contributing, Still Supporting the Community — But Still Questioning the MVP Decision
I still don’t understand the reason behind my rejection from the Microsoft MVP Program.
For years, I have been actively contributing to the tech community in Tunisia through free events, international conferences, training sessions, mentoring, and knowledge sharing around Microsoft technologies, Data, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and AI.
I proudly represent my country in many community initiatives and continue supporting professionals and students with passion and dedication.
What makes this decision difficult to understand is the lack of clear feedback or explanation regarding the refusal. Transparency is important, especially in a global program that values community impact and leadership.
I will continue contributing to the community with the same energy and commitment, because community work is bigger than any title.

I read this and recognized every line of it because the same happened to me. My own answer about MVP arrived on 1 October: an automated "Declined", and nothing else.
For context,
1.I run Microsoft 365 Security Insights (thecybersec.gr) for the Greek community. Close to 50 hands-on articles since April, most of them in Greek, because almost nobody writes this material in our language.
2.I was the main speaker in two YouTube sessions, on Defender XDR and on Secure Score.
3.And this year our Microsoft Secure Score implementation, with over 90% of the controls in place, won a Gold Award at the Cyber Security Awards in Greece.
All of it shared openly, in my own time.
I don't think any of us is owed a title. But one or two sentences of feedback would tell people like us what to do differently next time, and right now we get none.
Like you, I'm not stopping, every failure is the driving force that pushes us even further forward. The people who read and show up were never there because of a badge—not that it isn't worth it.
Thank you for saying this out loud.
