Does MVP application Decline Status normally include an email notification with comment or feedback?
Hey there, mvpkenlin & dimosatteia
From experience with the MVP portal, the portal updates with the latest information.

Generally, they send you a generic email that tells you that you weren't successful. This happened with me back in 2024 when I was nominated before. It said to continue doing what I am doing and better luck next-time.
They don't give specific feedback on applications. You can find out more on this here: FAQ | Most Valuable Professionals

I have found that the dashboard does show live progress. On September 1st, I looked at the portal and it told me I could onboard as an MVP. I could then complete the onboarding before the email notification came through.

I submitted my nomination 53 days ago, and the status changed from "Submitted" to "Under Review" only about 3-4 days ago, so I'm trying to understand what a normal timeline looks like too.
This happened to me too. I submitted my application on the 1st June. My application stayed on "Submitted" for what felt like ages before changing to "Under Review". I would keep an eye on this as it shows they are reviewing your application. They say it can take up to 90 days for it to be reviewed. Good luck 🤞
Hope this helps,
