SmartScreen reputation can definitely be frustrating with legitimate applications, especially when a new executable hasn't built up much reputation yet. I’ve seen similar concerns while working on OnStream, where users also want to be sure they’re downloading software from a trustworthy source. Clear publisher information, a valid digital signature, and an official download page can really help build confidence. Hopefully Microsoft gets back to you with some clarification soon.
