Scam Defender pop Up… help please

Can someone please help

my dad has had what looks like scam pop ups come up on his MacBook

I have reported to Microsoft but don’t know how long it will be until they get back to me.
I want to know if anyone can confirm they’re scams and how I can get them off his screen, it won’t let us click on the X

 Thank you

    Hi Hmartin1,

It sounds like your dad is seeing one of those common scam pop-ups that try to trick users into calling a fake support number. The safest way to handle it is exactly as jbmartin6 suggested:

Force quit the browser (on Mac: Command + Option + Escape)
    Restart the machine
Make sure the browser and system are fully updated

Also, it’s a good idea to run a trusted anti-malware scan to ensure no lingering threats.
Even though we handle Aftermath Bail Bonds Tampa, we understand how stressful unexpected scams can feel  just like urgent problems sometimes feel in real life! Staying calm and taking these steps usually resolves the issue quickly.

This is a scam, and you can just kill the browser process to get rid of it. Or just restart the machine with ctrl-alt-delete or the power button.
