Email Notifications in Defender Settings

Hello Community, 

I am enabling email notification feature in Defender 365 Portal but i need to know which source should i enable. Can anyone explain to me what the "Microsoft 365 Defender" sub-category means. I can understand Custom Rules and Manual. Which policies are meant for "Microsoft 365 Defender" sub-category?
