DefenderXDR "Preparing new space for data and connecting them" is stuck , and never finished !

Hello everyone, 
I am delivering SC-200 courses and on the lab environment of Skillable (or even free-tiers) when you have to "initiate" the data space for DefenderXDR, the process seems to be stuck .... never finished and we are "locked" in the page of a ...coffee cup and the phrase
"Hang on. We are preparing new spaces for your data and connecting them. "

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

does anyone else have same problem ? 
Any resolution , (I have already open a support ticket to Skillable support, but I haven't got resolution for over 1+day , and cannot open or continue the lab (for connecting or onboarding Microsoft Defender for Endpoint )  which is frustrating for the participants-students

  • Hi Panos, for a lab tenant this sounds more like backend provisioning being stuck than something you can fix from the Defender portal.

     

    I would check:

     

    1. Whether the tenant already has Defender XDR/Sentinel workspace provisioning partly completed.

    2. Microsoft 365 Defender service health for the region.

    3. Whether the lab tenant has the required licenses assigned.

    4. Try a private browser session or a different browser just to rule out cached portal state.

    5. Ask Skillable to reset or reissue the lab tenant if the coffee-cup page stays for hours.

     

    For students, I would not burn more time trying random portal steps. If provisioning is stuck for more than an hour or two, Skillable usually needs to refresh the lab environment.

      thanks for your kind reply, 

      I though same way too,
      (all check action you mentioned, are already checked ... )
      as I told you I already open a ticket to Skillable, but they haven't reply yet,
      so I assume that this is an overall problem with trial-free-lab access tenants , because all of the students have same problem, and another colleague that creates a free tenant+trial licenses etc etc, has exactly same behavior ! :(

      Just wanted to know if other MCTs encountered same errors,
