Collect file feature fails with not explanation

Using the Collect file feature in Defender ran for several days, then reported Failed with no further explanation.

In response to ticket TrackingID#2312150050002027, technical support advised, 'This is a known issue and Microsoft is trying to display some information on its failure in future. It is highly recommended to provide "Product Feedback" here'

Key information to provide would be:

i) whether this is a temporary issue, so re-trying is useful

ii) if there are any actions we should take to facilitate the collection
