Problem with Teams Assignments 10/1/20
MicrosoftMrLively Thanks for reaching out. We updated the Assignment feature for students to see all classes in one view, vs selecting individual classes.
If you want to filter the view per class, you will need to go to the Team ( Class) and click on the Assignment Tab. That will list all assignments for that class.

Leif Brenne It doesn't help. It takes time to navigate in and out of assignments by period. Is there anyway you can at least put the filter option back so that we have the choice. Not sure if you consulted any teachers before making this change but it is NOT useful for teachers that have multiple classes which I would argue make up more of the population using them. Sorry to make a big deal about three clicks to get to where I need to be but now there is no use for the Assignments section for me. Very disappointed.
kevinh-msMDPtusd one detail: when you click "Teams" on the left and select a team, be sure to click "Assignments" in the tab well above the channel messages to see Assignments from just that class:
(clicking "Assignments" on the left of Teams will take you back to the "all classes" view)
kevinh-ms I am aware of this, thank you. As I said though, "it's easier to click on Assignments and then filter from there than drilling into a specific Team."
I have five classes and often I am bulk grading in multiple classes. Removing the filter option adds more clicking (three minimum if you aren't already in a Team and/or your assignment isn't already graded). Checking on an assignment that I already graded in one of my classes requires four clicks from the Assignments section.

MDPtusd thanks for the feedback. We appreciate it. he intent when we updated was to make it show the most relevant assignment to grade, when you landed on the page. But clearly that is not working in this case.
I'm bringing this and other feedback back to the team to see how we can improve this. Thanks again for the feedback.

Leif Brenne That is great to hear thank you. I think if I were a student, I would prefer it this way because everything is in one place and I'm hoping this makes things easier for students.
But I don't always assess the Assignment section because I'm grading. Sometimes I'm looking for an assignment and I mentioned, it's easier to click on Assignments and then filter from there than drilling into a specific Team. Sometimes I need to jump back and forth from an assignment in one class to another in a different class and the Assignments section made that easier to do. Now I have to look closely to find what I'm looking for.
