Managing course content in MTfE

I have read the articles on Microsoft Community Training platform which appears to be a different toolset.

I look after MTfE in one tenant and we run - and re-run - courses using the same and gradually updated content. I have created a dummy course to contain all the latest versions of content, and then copy it across to the actual courses when needed. Now that Stream is moving into Sharepoint, this makes the management of PowerPoint and video files easier.

Does anyone have a better solution?
