Query request ID
I noticed that on the right side of the Logs query screen above the results section is an icon and the text "Copy request ID". Why would you need that? I cannot see the information stored anywhere in the logs. Is there somewhere else you can use it?

You use it when you raise a support call, or support ask you for it. Its essentially a GUID for Microsoft support - similar to "copy link to query" AFAIK
