No results coming back from search in SharePoint Online
Hi Karen,
I guess you used the Path managed property in the SharePoint Search Query Tool to verify that you can search the content?
And the search results that fails, it is from the search box in the suite bar (aka Microsoft search)?
Everybody has this issue, and it is isolated to just this library?
But yes, it sounds like you will have to submit a support ticket or book a SharePoint Search expert

We tested and received results using the SharePoint Search Query Tool and nothing from the Search box for everyone. We did submit a support ticket last week and were asked to reindex the library. Very frustrating as this is going to take a long time.
Reindex is the standard response on page one of the MS Support cheat sheet, even in cases where the indexer doesn't pick up new content.....
And the best part is that you will not even be able to check if the reindexing is complete. Get-PnPSearchCrawlLog might give you some indication, but no definitive answer.
Ugh. I was afraid that was what was going on. This seems to be going on with another library now. Hopefully there will be someone on the Microsoft support team who will look deeper into this. I wish dealing with Microsoft support wasn't such a disappointment to everyone I talk to.
