purchased windows defender but account is with godaddy - cannot setup
i purchased windows defender from microsoft, who told me i could use this even though account was hosted through godaddy. when i go to start using microsoft defender for business, it redirects me to godaddy page and there is nothing I can do. I need to know if this works and if so, how to set it up or I need to cancel it.

Just a heads-up—using Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy isn’t recommended if you want full control and transparency.
You don’t get access to the main Microsoft admin centers, the pricing isn’t very clear, SharePoint URLs are locked to a bad format (NETORG4504), and support is limited.
The good news? You don’t need to migrate or start over. There’s a simple way to disconnect GoDaddy, called Defederation. It keeps your existing accounts and data, but gives you full access and control under Microsoft.
