Defender for Office 365 Safe Links and S/MIME

Hello all,

I have a question related to the combination of Defender for Office 365 Safe Links and S/MIME. Is the safe links feature affected, when an incomming mail is signed with an S/MIME certificate? In my understanding this would break the concept of integrity using signatures, because the message is modified.
